What’s Coming Up in Dubai 2021
Dubai Food Festival:
One of the city’s prime gastronomic events, Dubai Food Festival is 17 glorious days of food-based things to see, do and, of course, taste. Discover the city’s hidden gem restaurants, enjoy discounted meals and tuck into delectable plates enhanced by live music. Also part of the festival is Taste of Dubai – with cooking shows, workshops and the chance to try signature dishes from top chefs like Greg Malouf and Virgilio Martinez.

The 14th edition of Art Dubai will take place at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) from 29 March–3 April 2021.
Centrally located between new and old Dubai, DIFC is a vibrant financial centre, business hub and home to a selection of the region’s best retailers, members clubs and restaurants.
Dubai World Cup:
The Dubai World Cup, first held in 1996, is an annual event which has placed the UAE on the map and is home to one of the world’s top racing challenges, drawing the attention of millions of enthusiasts around the globe. The 25th running will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 and will showcase nine races, featuring some of the best-known names in horseracing.
The highlight of the city’s sporting and social calendar and a fitting event to showcase an activity that has long been known as the ‘Sport of Kings’. Yet, it’s not just horse connections that make the trip to Dubai; with the added attraction of the Dubai World Cup Ceremony, racegoers also fly in from all over the globe to enjoy the unique spectacle that is the Dubai World Cup.
Expo 2020 – otherwise known as ‘The World’s Greatest Show’ – is now less than a year away. Due to the global pandemic, its original 2020 start date was postponed until October 1, 2021, and it will run until March 31, 2022. The huge event will see countries from all over the world exhibit their vision and plans for the future, through a uniquely designed, architecturally extravagant pavilion. Additionally, there’s set to be retail, dining and so much more.
After many years of construction, it looks like the launch of Ain Dubai (or the Dubai Eye) as many refer to it, is edging ever closer. Dubai’s first ever observation wheel, and the largest one in the world, is gaining more and more of its intended 47 passenger pods. When it opens, the sure-to-be-popular attraction will house unique retail and dining concepts. We can’t wait to check it out.
The Museum of the Future:
The official opening of stunning architectural masterpiece, the Museum of the Future, has yet to be announced although, in October 2020, the eye-catching facade of the structure was finally completed so we expect it to be relatively soon. The Museum of the Future is a unique design shaped like an eye with a hollowed-out middle. It covers an area of 30,000 square metres and is 7-stories standing at 77m high. We’ll be sure to keep you updated when we know more.
Auaventure Waterpark Expansion:
Once complete, the mega extension of Atlantis The Palm’s water park will make it one of the world’s biggest. The new area, called Trident Tower, will introduce an impressive 12 new rides to the park, including a 449-metre, family-friendly water coaster and raft rockets that will propel riders through wind channels.
Address Beach Resort:
Address Beach Resort is based in Jumeirah Beach Residence, a district famed for its waterfront leisure, dining, retail and entertainment, as well as a beautiful private beach. Ideally placed for easy access to Skydive Dubai, The Walk and Dubai Marina Mall, many of its rooms come with spell-binding views of the sea and city.
The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences:
Eagerly anticipated The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences is on track to open at some point in 2021. The Dhs5.15 billion property will be made up of 231 luxury apartments, 693 hotel rooms and 102 suites. The 43-storey hotel will also feature 90 swimming pools, including a stunning rooftop infinity pool suspended 96 meters above The Palm on level 22. The hotel will exclusively host restaurants helmed by international celebrity chefs, including Gastón Acurio, Costas Spiliadis, Ariana Bundy, Heston Blumenthal and Jose Andres.
